 Our class has been looking at the summer learning journey site and this is one of our activities.  

Explanation writing

We were learning to explain how Boyan Slat solved the world's rubbish problem.

I found it easy to find information about Boyan Slat.

I found it hard to get my sentences to make sense.

I really enjoyed making this slide because I tried really hard on it.

Next time I need to put more topic words.

 We were learning about what is manaakitanga so we now what is right to do.

I found it easy to do my title and find a colour.

I found it hard to write what manaakitanga means.

I have been learning how to show not tell so my writing is more interesting and descriptive.

I found it easy to write my show not tell.

I found it hard to find a good colour for my writing that we can see.

I have been learning about measurement.

I found it easy to compare a T-Rex with the height of five 4 year old boys.

I found it hard to find how tall a T-Rex is.

I really enjoyed finding a picture of a T-Rex.

Next time I need to be more focussed, managing my time.
